We've all been there, those horrible skin days... or weeks... maybe even months! I know I have! Today I am sharing some skin care products that have worked amazingly for me and skin care tips for all skin types in hopes you too can gain control of your skin!
Cleanser: Fresh Soy Face Cleanser is my absolute favorite cleanser. I've never had a cleanser be so gentle and effective all at the same time. My skin is always so moisturized and glowing after using this product! Although you might think you need a harsh face wash when having a break out, sometimes it is exactly the opposite. Those harsh cleansers could be irritating your skin and causing you to break out more! A favorite drug store version of this cleanser is the Cetaphil Facial Cleanser; it works just as amazing!
Miceller Water: I truly believe this is a skin care must if you have acne prone skin. Often times when you remove your makeup; even if you washed your face you will still have a little left behind. Miceller waters take that last bit of make up or oil of your skin preventing it from clogging your skin. Miceller waters are also super gentle and not at all drying! My favorites are Garnier and Simple. Always looking for a nice miceller water to try!
Hyluronic Acid: This has proven to be one of the most effective moisturizers for my face! Not only is this product a good moisturizer, but incredible at healing post acne redness, hyper pigmentation, etc. Using this also preps my skin for makeup better than any primer or moisturizer ever did. This is the one I currently use by Mon Amie another one I would recommend is this one from Amazon.
Aloe: Do you have redness, swelling or any areas that need healing? Then Aloe is going to be your life saver! We all know that Aloe does wonders at soothing and healing a sunburn but it has way more benefits than just that. Aloe has antimicrobial properties to treat acne! Not only does it your acne, but it will also greatly reduce redness, swelling and speed up healing. You can purchase Aloe from your local drugstore or for an even more effective option just buy an Aloe plant!
Derma Roller: This step is not for everyone, however if you are able to use it does produce amazing results. If you currently have active acne on multiple different areas of your face you should skip this option! So how does a Derma Roller work? " Derma rolling, also known as micro needling, is a procedure using a device covered with tiny, shallow needles to essentially poke holes in the skin surface, those holes are actually therapeutic, since they cause a micro injury that prompts skin to stimulate collagen production, filling in fine lines, plumping the skin and contributing to a younger look." You can get this at your dermatologist or do it at home depending on what you are trying to achieve from it.
Mask: Don't view masks as a luxury, view them as a necessity! It is the best way to clean out your pores and reduce acne. However masks have a ton of benefits that you can treat each mask targets different skin care needs. Here are some of my favorite face masks to treat my skin with Rose Face Mask by Fresh, Mint Julep Mask, GlamGlow Bubble Sheet.
I am always interested in trying new skin care products! What are some of your Must Have products?
